The invention of the key-shaped goal, featuring two scoring zones within a single goal:

• Lower section worth 2 points
• Upper circular section worth 3 points

This innovation became the foundation of everything that followed.

✓ Milestone 2 – The Sport

The concept of Keyball was developed around the key-shaped goal, creating a new precision sport built on strategic scoring, movement, and accuracy.

✓ Milestone 3 – The Name  09/23

The name Keyball was chosen as a memorable portmanteau reflecting both the unique goal and the sport’s hybrid nature.

✓ Milestone 4 – The Rules 01/24

The core rules were established, inclusive :

• One Goal. Two Choices.
• No goalkeeper.
• No offside.
• Fast, continuous play focused on precision.

✓ Milestone 5 – Flagship Product 08/25

Development began on the Keyball Fold-Up Garden Goal, designed to be portable, easy to store, and suitable for gardens, parks, schools, and training.

✓ Milestone 6 – Brand Identity 08/25

The Keyball brand was created, including its logo, goal silhouette, and the tagline “One Goal. Two Choices.”

✓ Milestone 7 – Digital Ecosystem 03/26

Planning began for the Keyball app, featuring player profiles, rankings, challenges, training pathways, and community features.

✓ Milestone 8 – Governing Body 05/26

The concept of the World Keyball Authority (WKA) was established to oversee the sport’s rules, competitions, and global development.

✓ Milestone 9 – Community Launch 07/26

Website content, blogs, social media campaigns, promotional materials, and launch messaging were developed to introduce Keyball to the public.

✓ Milestone 10 – Founding Players Waiting List 08/26 ongoing 

A Founding Players Waiting List was adopted as the launch strategy to validate demand before manufacturing while building an early community of supporters.
